White Limestone Pavers
We have been supplying for so many jobs with the white limestone pavers. The white limestone pavers that we carry are the type that have shelling in them. Some people look at the same limestone pavers and they think white and some call them beige. I will leave that up to you. We have observed an uptick in the white limestone pavers over the last 15 years. In general, the travertine out of Turkey has been getting darker and darker and what was called ivory travertine 10-15 years ago, is challenging to find. The ivory has become a shade or two darker. We believe that is what is causing more sales on the side of the white limestone pavers. It is lighter than a typical travertine ivory paver.
Are limestone pavers or travertine pavers better?
They are different but we can discuss the things that make them similar. Both the limestone pavers and the travertine pavers are taken out of blocks from Turkey. The limestone pavers are lighter in the white or beige limestone pavers. The white limestone pavers typically absorb more out of the air than the tavertine pavers. Most travertine pavers can be cleaned fairly easily by just spraying the pavers off. The limestone pavers will absorb more into the surface. Once something absorbs into the surface, it is more challenging to clean. So the limestone pavers are more challenging to clean. People still love the limestone pavers but they are more work to keep clean. When you look at white limestone pavers, you have a stone that can absorb from the air but also from whatever is below the limestone pavers. You will also notice more limestone pavers breaking during install. All you need to do is buy a little extra limestone pavers and that will fix that problem. Once they are installed, the limestone pavers are durable.
The clear advantage of the limestone pavers is the lightness of color. People love that light look and it is tough to find a natural stone that is as light as the white limestone pavers.

Limestone Pavers Houston Projects
We are involved in so many projects using limestone pavers. We went to a project today to take photos that I will upload later. They needed limestone french pattern pavers. This project required about 900 square feet of limestone french pattern pavers. They needed about 100 linear feet of 16x24 limestone pavers. The customer wanted something lighter than ivory travertine pavers but did not want something like white marble pavers. One this job, they used the limestone pavers and matched them up to a white marble splitface tile on the wall. The white marble splitface goes pretty well with the white limestone pavers so the blend was nice.
